Ten years ago we took over the copper printing plates from the publishing company Schuler, Stuttgart. Thies allows us to list famous names like Basilius Besler, Pierre Joseph Redouté and Jean Francois Turpin in our program. Maria-Sibylla Merian’s engravings (Metamorphosis Surinamnensis) show butterflies and plants on which they live like cacao, cherries, lemons and pomegranates.
