Holbein the Elder

Hans Holbein the elder (1465–1524) lived in Germany and Switzerland. Most of his pictures show religious scenes. His son Hans Holbein the younger (1497–1543) travelled to France and  England where he met Thomas More and King Henry VIII and painted the portraits of English ladies and gents.
