Hoffmann

Johann Michael Hoffmann (1824-1911) a German painter of religious scenes often showing Jesus with people and followers. In America he is also called  »The painter of Christ«. He studied at the Art Academies of Düsseldorf and Antwerp. In 1870 he became professor at the Dresden Academy of art. He also did wall paintings in churches and theatres.
