Erler
Erich Erler (1870–1946) aka Erler-Samaden, was a member of the artists society »Die Scholle«. From 1900 and later on he took part at several well known German exhibitions. His pictures can be seen in the German Museums of Leipzig, Munich and Aachen. In 1925, the Hanfstaengel publishing company planned an edition of the Simplicius Simplicissimus with Illustrations by Erler. This project could not be realised due to the inflation at that time, but the 21 etching-plates are still in our catalogue.
