It may have been such scenes – concerts and performances of famous musicians and composers with their family, their friends and fellow musicians. Those genre paintings are a well liked wall decoration for musicians today.
Painter Ferdinand Leeke handed down the stage sets and scenes of the operas by Richar Wagner. We print pictures of 11 musical dramas by Wagner from the copperplates from 1899.
