The painter and etcher showing the beauty in the flight and life of the swan was Ewald Olszewski (1884-1965). He studied the life of those beautiful birds ion many travels to the Baltic sea and the Bavarian lakes using spyglass and sketchbook. Final outcome are coloured dry point etchings with aquatint etchings.
